Other recent memoirs Pergrem loved include I’m Glad My Mom Diedby Jeanette McCurdy and Hello, Molly! by Molly Shannon. Pergrem recently finished what she calls a heartbreaking-but-funny memoir titled This is Going to Hurt, the story of what they call a “junior doctor” in the UK. “Most of what I read this past year were memoirs.” “I love memoirs, nonfiction, biographies…anything behind-the-scenes,” says Pergrem.
